"Last Witnesses: Memories of internment in Italian Fascist Concentration Camps"- Manca Juvan
Herman Janež and his family were interned at Bakar, and later at the Rab and Gonars camps when he was just seven years old. During his internment Janež became an orphan. He hasn’t seen his father since.
Last Witnesses: Memories of internment in Italian Fascist Concentration Camps is a project by 2011 Human Rights Fellow Manca Juvan exploring the preservation of memory of the internment in Italian fascist concentration camps in years 1942 and 1943.
Manca’s work will be on display Nov. 8th - Dec. 1st at Loza Gallery in Koper, Slovenia. Keep updated by follow the project’s blog here.
