Yael Martinez and Orlando Velazquez’s collaborative project, The Blood and The Rain, explores indigenous Mexican spirituality through symbolic representations of sacred sites and rituals of the Nahua, Mixtec, Tlapanec, and Amuzgo cultures.

Magnum Foundation’s Photography Expanded Symposium will explore collectivity, authorship, participation, and collaboration in photography and creative documentary practice. This daylong event will showcase projects from a range of disciplines and foster exchange about what it means to partner with other makers, subjects, and publics.
