“I have been doing spot news for a while, and I increasingly grew frustrated with it as it we were all doing the same pictures, we were all doing the same thing. Everybody is running after the refugees. So, the idea came up to totally turn around the approach. The idea was to —there were around ten magnum photographers on the field at the time— to have them do something for the refugees.”
