I had very bad luck today in the elections. I was forbidden from taking pictures inside the polling stations, and there were no #voters in line outside the polling stations. But I photographed this woman today - her name is Tayyba, and she is from #Pakistan. Last September, she was attacked by a white American woman who tried to take off her Hijab. Tayyba, 24, was walking with her baby in a stroller and the woman attacked her and pushed the stroller. Another woman wearing long Nikab was attacked just before Tayyba by the same woman. Tayyba is seven months pregnant. Photo by @emanhelal754. Eman is working on a story about Muslims who have faced hate crimes and discrimination because of their religion.
