Oscar Castillo takes over The New Yorker's Instagram feed

This week 2014 Magnum Foundation Emergency Fund grantee Oscar Castillo has taken over The New Yorker’s Instagram feed, posting photos from Caracas, Venezuela. Castillo is currently in the field working on his Emergency Fund project, Our War - Our Pain, building on his intimate examination of the city’s street gangs and culture of violence.

We invite you to check out the stirring images Oscar posted on the feed this week and follow along as he continues the take-over through the weekend.

From Oscar via Instagram:

Good morning everybody! My name is Oscar B. Castillo from Caracas-Venezuela usually posting from @eltestigo44. I will be hosting the New Yorker Photo [Instagram] for this week. Please follow me as I move around this complicated and fascinating city where I’m actually working on my project OUR WAR - OUR PAIN about violence in Venezuela and its causes and consequences, I’m a #MagnumFoundation grantee with the help of #MagnumEF. I hope to bring you some better understanding on our social and political situation at the time that I try to find some light at the end of the tunnel. Some pain and darkness and some caribbean sun and fun. Thank you very much. Have a great week.
