For the month of May, Magnum Foundation will be showcasing work from the Magnum Photos archive to highlight issues in the immigration debate as part of our LA RUTA project. 

The New York Times reported in January 2013 that the U.S. is spending $18 billion on border enforcement, which is more than the combined budgets of the FBI, DEA, Secret Service, U.S. Marshals Service, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
