Hiring: Programs Coordinator
About the role:
The Programs Coordinator supports Magnum Foundation’s Photography and Social Justice Program, Photography Expanded symposia, experimental laboratories, as well as other events and initiatives. Candidates for this position should demonstrate excellent communication and writing skills as well as a desire to collaborate with a small and passionate team. The position requires experience in event production and promotion, people management, and logistics coordination. As an integral member of our small team, the Programs Coordinator is curious about new models of storytelling at the intersection of photography and social justice and has a strong commitment to the values and mission of the Magnum Foundation

Reports to the Director of Programs
Tasks:
Photography and Social Justice Program
Coordinate all aspects of the program’s application process and grantee selection
Manage grantee contracts, acceptance letters, oversee the disbursement of grant funds
Source, manage and organize all program related digital assets
Oversee the production, delivery, and archiving of grantee’s final projects
Oversee and track program’s expenses in coordination with the Director of Programs
Oversee the program’s month-long NYC residency including excursions and fellow needs
Coordinate travel and assist grantees in obtaining visas
Serve as primary administrative liaison with CUNY, the program’s lead partner
Write comprehensive narrative reports about the program for program funders
Manage usage and storage for PSJ photographic and printing equipment
Manage readings and resources on Photography and Social Justice
Manage program partnerships and assist in developing new relationships
Manage assistants and program contractors
Manage alumni communication and alumni network
Manage program evaluation and program metrics
Provide regular program progress updates to the Director of Programs
Events Coordination
Oversee the coordination and production of events across the organization
Be primary point person for events across programs
Manage relationships with key partners
Arrange logistics including space rentals, AV, catering, invite and rsvp lists, and printed materials
Maintain events calendar
Attend and manage all events
Programs and Development Support
Provide support across all program areas when needed
Support the Photography Expanded symposia, experimental labs and other projects
Contribute to all program related public communications
Contribute to grant reporting and other fundraising activities
