Naomieh Jovin’s series “Gwo Fanm” (2017–ongoing) tells an intergenerational family story, from Haiti to the United States. Merging family archives with her own photographs, Jovin’s series centers the lives of women in her family, exploring themes of migration, loss, community, and history.
