From a pool of 98 applications from 31 countries, Melissa, Peyton, and Emily were selected by the membership of Magnum Photos at their Annual General Meeting to honor the legacy of their colleague, Inge Morath.

Magnum Foundation is accepting proposals for Photography in Collaboration: Migration and Religion, an initiative for photographers to expand upon their practice by working with creative partners from other disciplines. We will support up to five projects that further understanding of the politically significant and vastly complex intersections of migration and religion. Selected projects will receive production grants of up to $25,000.

Robert F. Kennedy Funeral Train: The People’s View

50 years ago today, Robert F. Kennedy's funeral train traveled from New York to Washington, DC, passing the nearly one million Americans lining the tracks to pay their respects. Looking at the iconic works of Paul Fusco that captured the scenes from the train windows, artist Rein Jelle Terpstra observed that many of the subjects too were holding cameras. He spent years tracking down more than two hundred vernacular images, home movies, and personal recollections to construct another vantage point of this historic day.

Magnum Foundation is pleased to announce the 2018 Photography and Social Justice Fellows, ten emerging and early career photographers, artists, journalists, and activists who are passionate about challenging injustice, pursuing social equality, and advancing human rights through photography. Selected from over 600 applicants, they join 29 other young image-makers from 19 different countries that have been trained through this program since 2010 to be effective storytellers, creative leaders, and changemakers.
